You can now buy Marketplace content as a gift for a friend. A new Nether Spawning Rebalancing experiment puts fewer mobs in the Nether and changes fortress spawns to be more like Java Edition, but you need to turn on the Experiments toggle to try it. Zombies stop grabbing animal armor, and lots of missing block sounds and captions are back.

Experimental: Nether Spawning Rebalancing

• Fewer mobs spawn in the Nether, and fortress spawns work more like Java Edition

Blocks

• You can now light candles while sneaking if you hold something that makes fire
• Fixed Snow Layers sometimes not falling onto blocks that can hold snow
• Fixed Tripwire Hooks making no sound when you trigger them
• Fixed empty Dispensers and Droppers staying silent when they have nothing to shoot out

Mobs

• Fixed Zombies, Husks and Zombie Villagers trying to put on Wolf Armor, Horse Armor or Nautilus Armor
• Fixed Piglins and Piglin Brutes with no weapon getting one when they turn into Zombified Piglins
• Fixed Skeletons getting new gear when they turn into Strays

Marketplace

• You can now buy Marketplace content as a gift for your friends
• Items that don't work on your device still show up, but you can't buy them

Interface

• Hearts on your HUD flash three times when you get hurt and twice when you heal
• Opening an .mcworld or .mcaddon file now imports it even if the game is already open
• Block Light Quality now has Low, Medium, High and Ultra options
• Fixed shiny objects looking way too reflective in Ray Traced mode

Stability

• Fixed a crash on PlayStation 5 when the game uses lots of textures at once
• Opening an Abandoned Camp chest for the first time lags even less now
• Fixed the screen freezing for a moment while you record video

Accessibility

• Fixed wrong or missing captions for fish, Elder Guardians, Slimes, Creepers and thrown items
• Jumping and landing now have their own captions
• Screen narration now reads slider numbers the same way you see them
