GetMCPE respects the intellectual property of others and expects the same of everyone who uses this site. This page explains how copyright owners can ask us to remove material under the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512, and how a counter-notice works.
Before you send a notice
Please check that the material is actually on getmcpe.com — we are not responsible for copies on other sites that use a similar name. If you are unsure whether a use infringes your rights (for example, whether it could be fair use), consider speaking to a lawyer first. Sending a notice starts a legal process, and knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing can make you liable for damages (17 U.S.C. § 512(f)).
How to send a notice
Email dmca@getmcpe.com with the subject line "DMCA notice". To be valid, the notice must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature, as the copyright owner or a person authorised to act for them.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed.
- The exact URL(s) on getmcpe.com of the material you want removed, so we can find it without guessing.
- Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or are authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
What happens next
We review every complete notice and act on valid ones promptly — normally by removing the material or disabling access to it. Incomplete notices will get a reply asking for the missing details. We may forward a copy of the notice to the person who supplied the material.
Counter-notice
If you believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address with the subject line "DMCA counter-notice", including:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that was removed and the URL where it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which GetMCPE may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.
After a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days unless the original complainant tells us they have filed a court action.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the bottom of this page shows when it last changed.
