This policy explains what information GetMCPE ("we", "us") handles when you visit getmcpe.com or use a build downloaded from it, and why. The short version: we do not run accounts, we do not use analytics or advertising trackers, and we do not sell anything about you to anyone.
What we collect
When you browse the site
The site runs on Cloudflare. Like any web server, it receives the technical details of each request — your IP address, browser and device type, the page you asked for and the time. Cloudflare uses this to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, and we keep short-lived request logs (a matter of days) to find and fix errors. We do not use these logs to identify or profile visitors.
Downloads
When you download a file, we add one to that file's download counter. The counter is a number; it is not linked to you, your IP address or your device.
Your theme choice
If you switch between light and dark mode, your browser remembers the choice in its own local storage. It never leaves your device and we cannot read it.
The update check in our builds
Builds from GetMCPE check for a newer version by requesting getmcpe.com/api/version/ when the game starts. That request carries only what every web request carries (IP address and app/device type, as above). No account, device ID, gameplay or personal data is sent, and the answer is simply the latest version number and its page link.
When you email us
If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include, and use it only to answer you or to handle your request (for example a copyright notice).
Cookies
We do not set cookies. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie to tell people from bots; it does not track you across other sites.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal information. Request data is processed by Cloudflare as our hosting provider under its own privacy policy. We will disclose information only where the law requires it.
Children
GetMCPE does not offer accounts and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by writing to contact@getmcpe.com. Because we keep so little, the answer is usually "nothing but your email to us".
Changes
If what the site collects changes, this page changes in the same update. The date at the bottom shows when it last changed.
