How to join the Minecraft beta

Android: Open Minecraft in the Google Play Store, scroll down to “Join the beta” and tap Join. The beta replaces your normal Minecraft after the next update. To leave, tap Leave in the same place.
iPhone & iPad: The beta is called Minecraft Preview and runs through Apple’s TestFlight app. Places are limited and open now and then, so it is often full.
Windows: Install Minecraft Preview from the Minecraft Launcher. It is a separate app with its own worlds, so your normal game stays as it is.

Frequently asked questions

What is Minecraft PE beta 26.60.30?

A test build of Minecraft 26.60, released by Mojang on 6 Oct 2026. Betas show what is coming in the next update and fix bugs along the way.

Can I download this beta APK here?

The files for 26.60.30 are being prepared and will be on this page once they pass our test on a real phone. You can also join the beta for free (see below), or play the stable version, Minecraft PE 26.52.

Can I go back from the beta to the stable version?

Not by installing over it: the stable version is older, so Android refuses. Back up your worlds, uninstall the beta, then install the stable version — or use the Clone, which never touches your Minecraft.

Is the beta safe for my worlds?

Make a copy of your worlds first. A world opened in a beta may not open in the normal version any more.

Can I play with friends who have the normal version?

Usually not. You can only join players and servers on the same beta build.
