A lighting pack with four selectable moods that adds soft shadows, colored block lights, and calmer skies.
Solace changes how the world looks by tuning light, fog, water and color. It gives you four moods to pick from: Warm, Gloomy, Terralith and Natural. Warm has a cozy glow, Gloomy feels eerie, Terralith goes with that biome style, and Natural keeps things plain and true to life.
Shadows get softer, so things on the ground blend into their surroundings instead of cutting hard lines. Blocks that give off light, like torches and glowstone, now cast their own colored glow onto nearby walls and floors. The sun and moon follow their own light curves, so mornings and evenings shift slowly instead of snapping between bright and dark.
Each dimension gets its own look. Light, fog and color change when you travel between the Overworld, the Nether and the End. Water moves with caustics, those rippling patterns of light on the bottom, and every block has detailed 128x normal maps and hand-made 128x AO, which adds depth even in shaded spots. This pack only shows its effects when Vibrant Visuals is switched on in the video settings.
