The Sift: a new dimension in 2027
The headline of the show. The Sift is the first new dimension in over 14 years and the fourth after the Overworld, the Nether and the End. It comes to Minecraft Java and Bedrock Edition, so Minecraft PE too, in 2027. Mojang showed a first look at it in Minecraft and one of the mobs that live there, but no date, no version and no way in yet. You can already visit it in Minecraft Dungeons II.
Everything known so far: Minecraft's new dimension, The Sift.
The Holiday Drop: ice caves and the Frostbite

The last game drop of 2026 is a winter update. It adds a new ice cave biome under cold biomes, with icicles that can fall on you and glowing ice crystals. There is also a frozen zombie variant, later named the Frostbite, that freezes you or throws ice balls. Four days after the show, it went into the Bedrock beta (26.60.29) as an experiment.

Minecraft Dungeons II

Mojang took a deep look at Minecraft Dungeons II three days before launch. It showed the story, in which an Illager High Council takes over, the connected world and the new jumping. It also showed the rifts that take you to The Sift, with areas called the Meadow and the Carapace. Dungeons II came out on September 29, 2026 on PC, Xbox, PlayStation 5, Switch and Switch 2. It has no phone version: see Minecraft Dungeons on mobile.
Two of its capes also unlock in Minecraft Bedrock for free. How: Aurora Cape and Hero Cape.
Minecraft World theme park

Minecraft World opens in 2027 at Chessington World of Adventures Resort, near London. It will have "Escape the Nether", the world's first Minecraft rollercoaster, which runs both indoors and outdoors. There will also be the first Minecraft World Hotel, with themed rooms and a deep-sea diner.

Sound effects packs
Sound effects packs are coming to the Minecraft Marketplace. They change the sounds in your game the way texture packs change the look. Mojang hasn't said when or for how much. Beta 26.60.29 already added a new Audio category to the Marketplace. For free packs that change the look of the game, see our Minecraft PE texture packs.
A creator platform
Mojang also talked about a new creator platform: better tools to make and share Minecraft content. "Our vision is to lower the barrier for more players to become Minecraft creators," said Chief Creative Officer Jens Bergenström. There are no details or dates yet.
