Java's Dynamic Lighting

This pack makes light work like it does in Java Edition. When you hold a torch or another light item, the world around you gets brighter. Dark caves feel easier to explore because you can see where you are going without placing blocks everywhere.

You can also put a torch on a helmet. Craft an Iron, Gold, Diamond or Netherite Mining Helmet and wear it to light up the area while both hands stay free. Sneak two times to move an item to your other hand, which is handy for holding a light source while you mine or fight.

Mobs and players that are on fire give off light too. Glow Squid, Magma Cube, Blaze and Ender Eye glow on their own. Enchanted gear gives a small amount of light, and special items like Redstone Torch, Ender Chest, Enchanting Table and Totem of Undying each have their own brightness. You can change the light levels with simple commands, see the level on items as lore text, and switch to a mobile control mode if you want.

How to install Java's Dynamic Lighting

1. Download the Java's Dynamic Lighting file to your phone.
2. Tap the downloaded .mcaddon file. Minecraft will open it and import it for you.
3. Open your world settings and turn on both the behavior pack and the resource pack.
4. Enjoy your new lighting in the world.

Requirements

• Minecraft Bedrock / PE 26.30 or newer
• Both packs active in the same world (behavior + resource)
