VDX: Java/Desktop UI

This resource pack redraws several menus and inventory containers so they resemble the look of the desktop edition instead of the standard appearance. It also carries over a few interface textures, aiming for roughly three quarters accuracy to the original layouts.

Three variants are included. The Desktop UI pack covers the base interface most completely. Mixed UI keeps the ordinary HUD and container style but blends in touches from both the desktop edition and legacy console menus. PvP UI leans on the older combat era look, with distinct chat and scoreboard backgrounds for matches.

Some settings screens and the play menu are slower to open because of how much interface data sits behind them. Controller support is not complete across every screen, and a small number of hardcoded screens cannot be altered at all. Languages covered so far include English, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Chinese, with both regional spellings for several of them.

How to install VDX: Java/Desktop UI

1. Download the VDX: Java/Desktop UI file. It is a .mcpack file.
2. Tap the file. Minecraft will open and import the pack.
3. Turn the pack on in Global Resources for all worlds. Or turn it on in one world's Resource Packs.
4. Tap the gear button next to the pack to pick one of the 2 options.
