Pickup & Carry

This addon turns your bare hands into a way to grab other creatures and storage blocks. Walking up to a mob, a player, or a container while empty-handed lets you hoist it onto your shoulder, and the same motion releases or hurls it forward. You'll need both hands clear, and sneaking plays a big part in every action.

Carrying feels active rather than passive. You drop whatever you lift if you swim, sink more than a block underwater, or take a fall of around three blocks. Anyone you're hauling can watch your health, and blocks you're holding can be opened, looted, or smashed by other players in real time. Falling from a great height shatters a carried container, spilling its contents.

Tuning is handled through an in-game function menu rather than a settings file. From there you can switch picking up mobs, players, or blocks on and off separately, add a slowness penalty, change how hard your throw pushes, and toggle the whole thing without reloading. First-person play shows your body and arms while you carry, and animated characters are supported.

How to install Pickup & Carry

1. Download the Pickup & Carry file. It is a .mcpack file. Tap the file to open it and let Minecraft import the pack.
2. The pack is a resource pack. Turn it on under Global Resources for all worlds. Or turn it on under one world's Resource Packs.
3. Open your world's settings. Go to Experiments. Turn on Beta APIs.
4. Start the world. Pickup & Carry is ready to use.
