Optimum Realism

This shader changes how a Bedrock world looks and feels by rebuilding the atmosphere, fog, and water while adjusting shadows, colour grading, and lighting. The result is a more grounded scene with softer light falloff and a consistent colour treatment across biomes and times of day. Sun and moon lighting follow custom curves, so dawn and dusk shift more gradually instead of snapping between brightness levels.

Water receives the most visible treatment. Animated caustics move across submerged surfaces, and waves form on the surface, giving oceans, rivers, and pools a sense of motion that reacts to the custom lighting above them. Shadows fall softly, which keeps edges from looking harsh against the new atmosphere and fog layers.

Everything here depends on Vibrant Visuals being switched on in the video settings. With that mode enabled, the atmosphere, fog, water, shadow, colour grading, and lighting effects all appear; without it, they stay hidden. A single cubemap option is available in-game for adjusting how reflections are handled, keeping the setup simple rather than burying players in toggles.
