Hotbar Slot Button

This pack replaces part of the user interface with a row of buttons that each map to one hotbar slot. Tapping a button swaps whatever you are holding for the item in that slot, so switching tools becomes a single press instead of a reach across the screen.

The buttons work with two-finger setups as well. While one finger keeps mining, the other can tap a button and the tool in your hand changes instantly, which keeps a swing going when the block in front of you suddenly turns into something else.

You can move and resize the buttons through an editor panel opened from the gear icon in the lower right corner, which uses sliders for placement and scale. Because of limits in the interface system, those adjustments are not stored by the game itself, so a build with the editor visible is offered for anyone who wants to tinker, alongside a build with it hidden.

How to install Hotbar Slot Button

1. Download the Hotbar Slot Button file. It is a .mcpack file.
2. Tap the file to open it. Minecraft will import it for you.
3. Turn the pack on under Global Resources for all worlds. Or turn it on in one world's Resource Packs.
4. Use the gear button next to the pack to pick one of its 2 options.
