Hallucination

Things start quiet. For the first few in game days nothing seems different. Then messages begin to show up on your screen, and they are not friendly. They warn you about your world and tell you to get rid of it. You can ignore them, but the game keeps pushing back.

If you stay, the strange events get stronger. Things you cannot explain start to appear, and they keep coming. You can craft something to keep yourself safe, but it can turn on you if you are not careful. Praying is another way to calm things down, though you have to stand completely still while you do it.

You can also run into new structures as you explore. They hold useful loot and bits of story that explain what is going on. Most of the pack is left for you to work out on your own, so poking around and testing things is part of the fun.
