Makes ore blocks give off light and brightens caves, with three brightness choices to pick from.
This pack turns ore blocks into light sources, so veins of diamond, emerald, gold, iron, copper and ancient debris stand out against the dark instead of blending into stone. Torches also get a bloom effect, which softens the light they cast. Rather than only swapping textures, it runs as a RenderDragon shader, so the changes sit in the game's lighting rather than on flat images.
Caves get a real glow as you move through them. Ores give off bloom, so a single lit block can be spotted from a distance down a tunnel, and torches add their own halo of light. Brightness is adjustable in game with three settings: a minimum brightness, a common brightness, and an extreme one that makes caves much more visible. You can switch between them depending on how dark or bright you want the underground to feel.
Besides ores, the pack reworks other blocks, the sky and particles, all at 16x resolution. Loading it needs an extra tool, since the game does not load custom shaders by default; it works through BetterRenderDragon, a patched build of the game, or an equivalent loader.
