Experiment 8

Experiment 8 makes your world a much scarier place. A strange infection spreads through mobs and blocks, and ugly nests start to grow out of pigs and villagers. If you ignore them, more parasites keep coming and the mess gets worse.

The parasites can drop you with a single touch, so you have to stay sharp. They are slow and easy to kill, but they hate light and go wild when you shine a torch on them. Small ones that seem weak can end your run in a second.

A gross new biome full of living flesh hides the worst fights, like a towering iron golem fused with a parasite. Special infected can split apart, drag themselves along the floor, or shoot corrupted potions from far away. It is tense and dark, and you will want to keep moving.
