Counter-Strike

This map turns the game into a round based shooter. Teams of attackers try to plant a bomb while defenders try to stop them and defuse it. First team to reach the winning round count takes the match, and the score is tracked for you on screen.

You can play alone against computer controlled bots, or team up with friends on a local network. There is a weapon shop with its own menus, new scopes for sniper rifles, and spectator mode you can switch on at any time. A small counter in the corner shows how many people are watching.

The arenas are rebuilt versions of well known shooter maps, including Mirage, Dust2, Train, Nuke, Vertigo and Ancient. Blocks, particles and the interface all got a 16x retexture so the whole thing looks like its own game. Everything needed comes with the map, so you just load it and play. The text and menus are translated into many languages, and the pack is meant for small groups, though it can hold more players.
