Adds blocky shadows, fog, and PBR looks while cutting particles and frozen animations to help your game stay smooth.

This shader changes how your world looks and runs at the same time. It gives you blocky shadows, clear fog per biome, and block textures with depth through PBR materials like height maps. It only shows its effects when Vibrant Visuals is turned on in the video settings.

In play you get two ways to go: one that keeps all the looks, and one that goes for speed. The faster one freezes lots of things that usually move, like water, lava, nether portals, campfires, kelp, and 76 of 80 animated block textures. You can also pick a version with no particles or one with fast grass and static blocks. All of this runs on Minecraft 1.26.40 and newer.

The result feels calmer on the eyes during fights and long builds. Fewer swirls and flickers on screen makes it easier to spot what matters. Shadows feel solid and simple, and fog shifts from place to place so each biome has its own feel. Nothing about how the game plays changes, just how much is moving in front of you.

Download the Better FPS file to your device. It ends in .mcpack.
Open the file. Minecraft will import it for you.
Turn on Better FPS under Global Resources, or in one world's Resource Packs.
Tap the gear button next to the pack to pick one of its 2 options.
Open Minecraft's graphics settings the pack was made for to see its effects.
